About Lily's Garden Park
My earliest recollections are of the happy times my grandmother and I spent together in her garden next door to where my family lived.
Bearded iris were her favorite - hollyhocks were mine.
I loved being in her garden amongst the sunbeams and dragonflies.
It has always been a desire of mine to surround myself with the beauty of nature and to be able to share this environment with others.
“And who is Lily?”, I am often asked. Originally I envisioned lilies growing throughout the garden, but it turns out that gophers absolutely love eating lily bulbs and dragging the entire plant under ground. So now we just bring potted lilies out when they’re in bloom, and keep them safe in the growing area during the rest of the year.
In keeping with the lily theme, hanging in the dining room is a lovely watercolor with the following words:
Consider the lilies . . . .
Even Solomon in all his splendor
was not arrayed like one of these.
And if God so clothes the flowers
that are here today and gone tomorrow,
How much more will He provide for you.
It is our hope the five acres we named 'Lily's Garden Park' will be a source of peace and restoration for all who visit.
We look forward to your visit.
